Kids classes
Jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai and kickboxing, and boxing for kids at both of our Fresno gyms, plus beginner wrestling and the Dethrone Wrestling Club at Dethrone Fresno. A fun, family friendly environment. Whether your child is a beginner looking to compete one day, or someone that’s being bullied, our program will help them develop confidence to learn how to defend themselves in any situation.

Kids jiu-jitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an art of ground fighting where you can learn submissions. Classes are taught both with and without the gi.

Kids Muay Thai / kickboxing
Muay Thai is a striking sport where they not only punch but also use kicks, knees, and elbows. The Kids and Adult classes teach the art and make sure you get a sweat in at the same time.

Kids wrestling and the Wrestling Club
Dethrone Wrestling is considered the best independent club team in the Valley and top team in California. We offer beginner classes that will teach the basics. Our advanced club practices attract some of the best youth wrestlers in California.

What age can my child start?
Kids classes are for ages 4 to 14. The Dethrone Wrestling Club trains youth, middle school and high school wrestlers at Dethrone Fresno. Not sure which class fits your child? (559) 354-3800.
Is it safe for kids?
Call us and we’ll talk it through: (559) 354-3800. What we can tell you here: kids train in their own classes, apart from the adult classes, and our coaches include kids jiu-jitsu coaches. We have a fun, family friendly environment.
What should my child wear?
Call us before the first class and we’ll tell you what to bring: (559) 354-3800. On the posted schedules, some kids jiu-jitsu classes are gi classes and some are no-gi.
What happens at the first class?
Your child’s first class is free. Book it online, or (559) 354-3800. For what the first class looks like on the mat, ask us when you call. We don’t post prices online or quote them over the phone. The team goes over membership options and pricing with you in person at the gym, after your free class.
Which gym should we go to?
Both gyms teach kids jiu-jitsu, kids Muay Thai / kickboxing and kids boxing. Kids beginner wrestling and the Wrestling Club are at Dethrone Fresno only. Dethrone Fresno is at 3076 W. Shaw Ave, Fresno (Shaw & Marks); Dethrone Clovis is at 2456 N. Clovis Ave, Fresno (Clovis & Clinton). Members train unlimited at both locations.
Where can my kid take jiu-jitsu in Clovis?
At Dethrone Clovis, 2456 N. Clovis Ave, Fresno 93727, at Clovis & Clinton. Kids jiu-jitsu there: Kids jiu-jitsu, Monday to Thursday, 4:30–5:30 PM; Kids no-gi jiu-jitsu, Fridays, 5–6 PM. Kids classes are for ages 4 to 14, and the first class is free.

Can I work out while my kid is in class?
At Dethrone Clovis, yes: on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 PM, parents can take the HIIT class while the kids train Muay Thai. HIIT ends 15 minutes before the kids’ class does.
